Individuals and groups have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base and remain cutting edge by attending such conferences as the annual Forrester Marketing Forum, DTC National Conference, SXSW Design Conference, SAS Institute Lecture Series and CBI's Annual Forum: Pharmaceutical Contact Centers.
Our performance management program provides the vehicle by which an employee and manager can review various development opportunities. Individual training events and conferences can be discussed and recommended at this time.
Mentor Program
Employees have the opportunity to participate in our mentor program as a mentor and/or protege. Mentors and proteges are matched based on the skills, abilities and experiences each has described. Peer-mentor relationships allow for a peer to learn a specific industry or skill from a colleague in an otherwise similar role. For example, an account supervisor with a non-pharmaceutical background can learn the sector by being paired with an account supervisor with extensive pharmaceutical experience. Telementor relationships help to foster collaboration across miles, pairing individuals from more than one of our locations.
Performance Management
Paramount to any professional development program is regular, structured, focused feedback and clear communication regarding expectations. Our Performance Planning Process (P3) provides the opportunity for manager and employee to meet several times a year to discuss business objectives and goals as well as progress against these goals. The meetings are two-way and participatory; employees are encouraged to contribute to the goal-setting process and provide a self-assessment.
The use of business objectives and goals illustrates the very real business impact each employee has.
Additionally, employees complete a Professional Development Plan with their managers in order to identify and highlight appropriate training opportunities, assignment rotation and mentor relationships.
